Olivia Hector

Olivia is an eclectic and dynamic singer, performer and creative based in Naarm/Melbourne.

Olivia trained in Music Theatre performance at the Australian Institute of Music, graduating with her Bachelor of Music in 2023 and experience training under the country’s leading practitioners and educators. She was the recipient of the university’s National Excellence Scholarship in 2021.

Since 2024, she has been a vocalist with Sunshine & Disco Faith Choir, the Melbourne-born electronic-gospel group with whom she has performed at events, festivals and venues across the state and Australia-wide including Ocean Sounds Festival, Perth’s Rugby SVNS and Melbourne clubs Revolver & The Night Cat.

She is currently writing on new project Divine Intervention, a band with friend and artist Brigit Ingram which explores alternative & art rock sounds through dynamic melodies and delicate poetry.

Olivia’s love of words and passion for writing deeply informs her creative practice & mission, as does a burning passion for alternative music and female-led, art-forward projects.
